I decided to build Kleidi after a consulting client hired our firm to perform a complex fund rescue operation across multiple chains.

The Problem

For years, founders and early investors would come to me with the same question: “How do I actually secure this?”

They'd just raised their Series A. Or closed their angel round. Or accumulated a treasury position that represented their protocol's entire runway. And they'd realized that the wallets designed for everyday users weren't built for the threats they faced.

Hardware wallets and multi-sigs provided basic protection, but nothing addressed the full threat landscape: What if a team member's device is compromised? What if someone's physically coerced into signing? What if we make an honest mistake that costs the company millions?

These weren't theoretical concerns. I watched sophisticated attacks drain treasuries. Saw wrench attacks target high-value holders. Witnessed honest mistakes become permanent losses because crypto is fundamentally unforgiving.

The Insight

High net worth holders face an entirely different threat model than retail users. Speed doesn't matter when you're moving treasury funds. Convenience isn't the priority when you're protecting generational wealth.

What matters is a comprehensive security architecture that addresses every attack vector—from supply chain compromises to physical coercion to honest mistakes.

I realized we could build something fundamentally different: a custody solution where security isn't a feature list, but a more forgiving version of crypto. Where protection extends beyond the digital realm to physical threats too. Where transactions could be reversed. Where mistakes could actually be caught before they became catastrophic.

The Approach

We started from first principles:

Security as Mathematics

We didn't want to claim our contracts were secure, we wanted to prove it. That meant formal verification using the Certora Prover and two independent audits from top-tier auditors. The result: zero critical or high severity issues found.

Battle-Tested Foundation

Instead of reinventing the wheel, we built on Gnosis Safe smart contracts, the gold standard that's secured over $100 billion for close to a decade.

Comprehensive Threat Modeling

We architected Kleidi to defend against threats most wallets ignore: on-chain policy engines that work even if your devices are compromised, timelocks that thwart physical coercion and guardians for emergencies.

True Sovereignty

No third-party dependencies. An anti-fragile company and architecture built to survive market cycles. An immutable hyperstructure that continues operating even if every DAO and company involved ceases to exist.

Who This Is For

Kleidi is purpose-built for those managing crypto with daily operational needs, not just buy-and-hold—who require institutional-grade security controls:

High Net Worth Individuals

Active DeFi participants who need institutional policies while maintaining full custody

Protocol Treasuries

$1M+ treasuries managing grants, governance, and DeFi strategies with active daily operations

Family Offices

Investors and crypto allocators requiring succession planning, estate continuity, and multi-generational access

Funds & Institutions

Teams requiring DeFi access that qualified custodians don't support, with verifiable security

The Commitment

Our commitment is simple: your security comes before our growth. That's why we're doing a limited initial rollout—prioritizing high-value holders who need this most.

It's why all our audit reports are public on GitHub. Why our contracts are open-source and verifiable. Why we built an immutable hyperstructure that doesn't depend on our company surviving.

Protecting generational wealth requires generational thinking. Kleidi is built for permanence.
